Reimagining Public Safety

The Policing Project at New York University, School of Law has launched the "Reimagining Public Safety" initiative to address the mismatch between community needs and traditional law enforcement responses. 

This project collaborates with experts and communities in cities like San Francisco, Tucson, Denver, and Chicago to develop alternative response systems that prioritise community health and safety. By engaging with residents and conducting comprehensive research, the initiative aims to design data-driven frameworks that reduce reliance on police for non-violent issues, fostering real community well-being.
