From the Human Rights Approach, elderly persons, especially women are more vulnerable in Latin American societies to suffer from violence in general terms. According to the Legal Medicine Department, in 2017 in Colombia, South America, the murders due to interpersonal violence went from 44.49 percent to 67.85, in the case of men, and from 24.71 percent to 40.37 in the case of women.
As a result, the statistics shows, eight men die for every two women killed. The overall death toll from fighting exceeds 60 percent.
Despite, the violence suffered from elderly women, they are still not often included in our society and one might think that Restorative Justice, can be an strategic tool for inclusion of minorities.
The method: through statistics analysis and interviews to elderlies women, I will like to discover if they would it had the possibility to encounter answers to their scary experiences such as violence attacks through restorative justice. They would gain more confidence in their encounter with strangers, so far to go out at nights, participate in more activities in order to be really included in society.
