Political Laboratory for Afro-descendants Communities for Everyone (PLACE e.V.) is a non-governmental organisation that works within the framework of cooperation between Africa and the diaspora in Europe on education and critical analysis of sustainable development issues and challenges. The aim is to accelerate Africa's path to self-determination with the help of digital technology. Our vision is to contribute to solving political, economic and social challenges by creating a reference centre for reflection, networking, civic education and the promotion of African perspectives.
To this end, we have launched OTD (On These Days).
Our OTD poster reports on 365 events that took place in Africa from January to December. Each day is dedicated to an event, from the birth of climate change activist Wangari Maathai to the fight against colonialism in Namibia. The concept emphasises the culture of remembrance.
